Wamarra acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands upon which we work, live and socialise. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who we recognise as Australia’s First Peoples whose cultural practices continue today.
This February marks the second-year anniversary of the launch of Wamarra. From the beginning, our mission was to forge a pathway for real change in the construction industry where Aboriginal people are not only included but can thrive.
We set out to employ at least 20 Aboriginal people for roles in our business and we’re beyond proud to announce that we’ve exceeded that, with 40 full-timers currently on board.
We celebrate and reflect on our achievements as an Aboriginal business. We’re proud of how far we’ve come together and thank everyone who has supported us along the way.
