We’re dedicated to providing meaningful careers to all our employees.
Committed to creating culturally safe and inclusive environments, we are passionate about each person’s success. We focus on training and development and are proud of the continued mentoring, support and encouragement we provide our Wamarra employees, so they have everything they need to grow and succeed.
We conduct site-based training and development designed to create practical, individualised learning opportunities for our site based-staff.
The aim of these programs is to increase the capability and consistency of our workforce offering clear and meaningful career pathways within the construction industry.
We concentrate on individual’s experiences and strengths allowing us to recognise prior learnings and deliver methods of training and assessment specifically targeted to the learning requirements of each participant.
Partnering with Symal Group, Wamarra takes advantage of existing high school and university student programs. These targeted programs range from short-term work experience to more formal, structured graduate programs.
We are a socially responsible business – it’s part of our DNA and who we are as an Aboriginal-owned and operated business.
Our aim is the integration and longevity of Aboriginal people in civil construction projects and industry. That means we lead with an awareness of our cultural values and Aboriginal aspirations and invest in Aboriginal people and organisations that support meaningful careers and the sustained livelihood of Aboriginal people and their families.
