We’re pleased to announce that Operations Manager, Adam Salamone has been elevated to the role of General Manager for Wamarra leading the growth and expansion strategy while continuing to strengthen Aboriginal participation and engagement.  

With over 14 years in the Construction industry, Adam brings a wealth of experience to the GM role, having worked on a broad range of major infrastructure projects and building sites with expertise in civil engineering and landscaping. 

Managing Director Hayden Heta said, ‘Since joining the business a year ago, Adam has brought a new level of governance support, relationships and network to Wamarra. His passion and commitment to his team and the business are second to none and provides a safe set of hands.’  

In building Wamarra’s capability and capacity, Adam has brought a fresh perspective. Looking through a new lens, he has helped open opportunities in the defence sector and our first interstate project awarded in NSW – steering Wamarra in the direction of becoming the largest Aboriginal contractor in Southeast Australia.

Recently celebrating three years of operation, Wamarra is fulfilling its commitment to creating sustainable careers for Aboriginal people. Our vision is being played out with increased Aboriginal employment, investment in training and development programs and evolved industry partnerships.
