Camms Road

Wamarra played a significant role in the removal of the dangerous and congested level crossing at Camms Road, Cranbourne, easing congestion and improving safety for the more than 12,000 drivers who pass through it daily. The new plaza and community open space created at Cranbourne Station comprise beautiful landscaping and 429 new and upgraded commuter car parks, which are part of the Victorian Government’s Car Parks for Commuters and Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution programs.

Our scope of works included:

  • 342 m of new drainage lines (RCP and HDPE)
  • 1,072 m of new electrical services (communications and LV)
  • 9,444 m2 of crushed rock pavement for new carpark build
  • 963 m2 of shared user path
  • 475 m2 of exposed aggregate concrete and 2 km kerb
  • 5000m2 of landscaped areas including 29,000 plants and 200 trees
  • Supply and installation of signage, line marking, furniture, bollards, tactiles and cyclist fencing.

In addition to being awarded a 24-month maintenance plan on the project, Wamarra’s ability to deliver the project despite long lead times on procurement items such as light towers, precast pits, pipes, and furniture was a testament to the planning, programming, and coordination of our teams.
