You can download Dayforce for most phones, with the following minimum hardware requirements:
Only your Company ID and username are stored. Your password is not stored on your device, except for Apple devices that support Touch ID. If you use Touch ID, then your password is encrypted and stored on your device. The Dayforce mobile app does not store any other information on your device. See the privacy policy for complete details. For more information about Touch ID security on Apple devices, visit http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5949.
When using your Symal issued computer the best browser to support Dayforce is Microsoft Edge.
You are more than welcome to use the app or browser. Please know that some functionality is only available through the browser like downloading your payslips.

As you will be logged in using Single Sign On you will not need to update your password in Dayforce. If you need to reset your password please do it through Microsoft Authenticator.
While there are differences in the look and feel of some features, both platforms have the same features and functionality remains the same.
Yes, the owner of the computer will need to logout and they can select the “Use another account” option.
Dayforce time away function does not allow you to go into a negative leave balance. If you are applying for future leave and you do not have the leave balance, please apply for leave without pay. The payroll team will apply any applicable leave balances for your
Not at the moment. We are working with the developer to see if we can have this functionality added as a future update. Watch this space!
Your manager will delegate their authority to approve leave to ensure leave requests can be actioned in their absence.
You will receive a notification once your manager has actioned your leave request.
Speak to your manager regarding why the leave was declined and reapply as required.

Yes. Managers will be instantly notified of leave requests via email. Managers are able to action the leave request either by accessing the app or web browser.
The icon on your timesheet will show as approved
Employees can change work location themselves in app as all work assignments/locations will be against employee profile.
Yes, hard copy day sheets will still be used to track employee’ start and finish times.
Yes, all information that is currently entered on hard copy day sheets should still be entered each day.
You only need to enter one cost code per day.
Yes, please make sure you add any comments so the payroll team can verify the changes.
Yes, please record in the comments section of the App.
The relevant timesheets will be sent to pre-selected managers for approval.
No, you will add shift changes when you complete your timesheet or submit your hours on the Dayforce app and day sheet. Dayforce will then automatically calculate overtime owing to you.
You are now able to update your bank details directly from the Dayforce browser. Alternatively you can email payroll@symal.com.au or payroll@wamarra.com.au to have your details updated.
